- Ride on Royal Enfield Himalayan 411CC motorcycles, provided from the morning of Day 2 till the evening of Day 6.

- A dedicated luggage support vehicle will be provided. Each traveller can carry one rucksack/duffle bag (up to 60 litres).

Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Leh | Rest & Acclimatization (11,600 ft)
Arrive in Leh and transfer to your hotel. After check-in, take the day to relax and acclimatize to the high altitude. In the evening, attend a short briefing session about the journey ahead. Enjoy a warm dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
Day 02: Leh to Nubra Valley (10,000 ft | 160 km | 5–6 hrs)
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before riding towards Nubra Valley, a breathtaking cold desert surrounded by majestic mountains. Cross the iconic Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Upon arrival, you can opt for a camel ride in the sand dunes of Hunder (at additional cost). End your day with dinner and an overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
Day 03: Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso (14,000 ft | 160 km | 7–8 hrs)
After breakfast, gear up for an adventurous ride through rugged terrains towards the stunning Pangong Tso. Travel via the scenic Shyok River route or the adventurous Wari La Pass, depending on road conditions. On arrival, soak in the mesmerizing beauty of the crystal-clear blue lake of Pangong Tso. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay near Pangong Tso.
Day 04: Pangong to Hanle (via Rezang La War Memorial)
Begin your day with breakfast by the lake and ride towards Hanle. En route, visit Chushul and pay homage at the Rezang La War Memorial, honoring the heroes of the 1962 Indo‐China War. Ride past dramatic landscapes including the Black Mountain and Loma Bend. If time permits, visit the Hanle Observatory before 4 PM. Enjoy dinner and an unforgettable night under the star-lit sky in Hanle.
Day 05: Hanle to Umling La & Demchok
Prepare for the most thrilling day of your journey. Ride towards Umling La, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, offering unmatched views and an adrenaline-pumping experience. Weather permitting, continue to Demchok Village, a serene settlement near the Indo‐China border, a stunning natural border, where you can witness the beautiful India-China river. Return via Loma Bend and head back to Nyoma/Hanle for dinner and overnight stay under the spectacular Himalayan sky.
Day 06: Nyoma/Hanle to Leh (via Chumathang)
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Leh. En route, visit:

Thiksey Monastery – known for its stunning architecture and panoramic views

Day 07: Leh Local Sightseeing
Start your day with a hearty breakfast and set out on an exciting local sightseeing tour in a comfortable tempo traveller.
Begin with a visit to the serene Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, a peaceful spiritual site known for its tranquil surroundings and divine significance. Continue to the fascinating Magnetic Hill, where you’ll experience the unique optical illusion that makes vehicles appear to roll uphill against gravity.
Next, witness one of Ladakh’s most stunning natural spectacles — the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers, where two rivers merge in a striking display of contrasting colors.
Later, visit the iconic Shanti Stupa, a beautiful, white-domed structure offering breathtaking panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding Himalayan ranges — a perfect spot for photography and peaceful reflection.
Enjoy scenic drives along the Leh–Srinagar Highway (NH1), passing army camps and checkpoints that offer a glimpse into the region’s strategic importance.

Frequently asked questions
We are flying directly into Leh. How do we acclimatize before riding to the world's highest pass?
1.Flying directly to 11,600 feet (Leh) poses a high risk of AMS. Therefore, Day 1 is strictly for rest, hydration, and acclimatisation in your hotel. We do not issue bikes on the first day. Your body needs this critical 24-hour window to adjust before we tackle higher passes like Khardung La and Umling La.
Is the road to Umling La completely paved, or is it off-road?
The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has done an incredible job, and the final stretch up to Umling La Top is surprisingly well-tarmacked (blacktop). However, the transit routes leading to the region (via Hanle, Rezang La, and Loma Bend) include massive stretches of dirt, gravel, and sandy patches that require careful handling.
We are going to Rezangla near the Indo-China border. Are special permits required, and do you arrange them?
Yes. Rezangla, Pangong Tso and Hanle are highly sensitive border areas requiring strict Inner Line Permits (ILP) and military clearances. All these permits are completely handled by us and are included in the package cost. You just need to provide your Govt ID/Passport details in advance.
Can foreign nationals (non-Indians) join this trip to Umling La and Pangong Tso?
Due to strict military regulations near the Line of Actual Control (LAC), foreign nationals were generally not permitted to visit Hanle or Umling La. Foreigners can now get permits for Nubra, Hanle and Pangong Tso.
I've heard the winds at Umling La (19,000+ ft) are brutal. What riding gear is mandatory?
At over 19,000 feet, the wind chill can push temperatures well below zero even in mid-summer. A heavy-duty, windproof riding jacket with thermal liners, winter riding gloves, a full-face helmet with a clear visor (to block wind), sturdy boots and grit are mandatory.
Does the backup vehicle follow us all the way up to Umling La top?
Yes! A heavy-duty backup vehicle (like an Innova or Xylo) stays with the convoy throughout the entire trip. If the high altitude makes you dizzy or breathless while riding up to the pass, you can immediately park the bike and sit in the heated backup car while our mechanic rides your bike down.
Will my post-paid mobile network work at Hanle or Pangong Tso?
Only postpaid SIM cards work in Ladakh. Even then, expect zero network coverage in Hanle, Umling La, and Pangong Tso. Prepare for a 3 to 4-day digital detox while in the border regions.
What happens if the route to Pangong Tso via Wari La or Shyok is closed?
Mountain weather is unpredictable, and river swells can block the Shyok route. Our Road Captains get daily updates. If a direct route is closed, we will reroute the convoy (e.g., returning to Leh and taking an alternative safe path to Pangong), ensuring your safety always comes first.
Are there age restrictions for this specific high-altitude route?
Due to the extreme altitude and thin air at Umling La, we do not recommend this specific itinerary for children under 14 or individuals above 60 with a history of cardiac, blood pressure, or respiratory issues.
What is the accommodation like in Hanle and Nyoma?
Because Hanle and Nyoma are incredibly remote dark-sky reserves, commercial hotels do not exist here. We provide stays in premium, hand-picked Deluxe Homestays. This offers a cosy, culturally immersive experience with traditional Ladakhi hospitality, hot meals, and basic comforts.
