Safaris
Touring Tours rides the mountains. For the plains, we have a dedicated safari company — same ownership, same standards, its own teams on the ground across seven African countries.
One company, two specialisms
Rather than run safaris as a sideline, we built a separate operation for them — registered in Tanzania, staffed by local guides, and booked through its own site.
Sister company
Indian-owned and Indian-run, with its own teams on the ground across Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Based at Kijenge, Arusha — a forty minute drive from Kilimanjaro Airport, and the right side of the country to start a Serengeti trip from.
Booking, itineraries and payment for any safari are handled there. Same people answer the phone.
Kenya
Three comfort tiers on the same route and the same private game drives — an exclusive 4x4 Land Cruiser, maximum six guests, all meals included.
The top tier — Villa Rosa Kempinski, Serena Amboseli and Sand River Mara, with the Great Migration in season and a hot air balloon option over the Mara.
The same route and the same private game drives with mid-tier lodges. The sensible middle option, and the one most families settle on.
The wildlife does not know which package you booked. Same parks, same private vehicle, simpler lodges — the most direct route to the Big Five.
Tanzania
Arriving into Kilimanjaro Airport, staying at Melia lodges on a double-sharing basis, with sunrise balloon safaris and a Zanzibar extension available on the longer circuit.
Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti at a pace that lets you sit with a sighting instead of driving past it. Finish on Zanzibar if you want the beach.
An extra day in the parks over the short circuit, which in practice is the difference between seeing the Serengeti and spending time in it.
Arusha, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti in a week, flying in and out of Kilimanjaro. The efficient introduction to northern Tanzania.
Where they operate
Every link below opens the destination on the safari site, where you will find the full itineraries and current pricing.
Sample journeys
Every route is fully customisable — these are starting points, not fixed departures.
Chasing the herds across the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara, with the Ngorongoro Crater along the way. Their bestseller.
Tracking mountain gorillas in Bwindi and golden monkeys in the Virunga volcanoes, across Uganda and Rwanda.
Summit Africa's rooftop by the scenic Machame Route, then unwind on the spice-island beaches.
Add-on experiences
Bookable alongside any safari, with prior notice.
Sunrise over the Mara or the Serengeti, ending with a bush breakfast. Capacity is limited and it sells out in migration season.
Guided tracking on foot and by vehicle in protected conservancy land, with rangers who monitor these animals daily.
Hippos and birdlife from the water at Naivasha, the Crescent Island walk, and the tree-top walkway near Lake Manyara.
