Frequently asked questions

What does an "economy" safari in Tanzania actually mean?

It means we've focused on the experience rather than unnecessary luxury. You'll still visit Tanzania's famous parks, enjoy professional game drives, and experience the country's remarkable wildlife while staying in comfortable, well-selected accommodations that offer excellent value.

How does a shared safari group work?

You'll travel with fellow safari enthusiasts, which often adds to the experience. Wildlife sightings tend to become group moments, whether it's a pride of lions crossing the road or thousands of wildebeest moving across the plains. Many guests arrive as strangers and leave with new travel companions.

Will we still have a chance to see the Big Five?

Absolutely. Tanzania is one of Africa's finest safari destinations, and the parks included in this itinerary offer excellent opportunities to spot lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos. While nature never provides guarantees, the wildlife experience remains exceptional throughout the year.

What are the drives between the parks actually like?

The drives are very much part of the adventure. The scenery constantly changes, from forests and crater highlands to endless savannahs and volcanic landscapes. Many guests are surprised by how much they enjoy the journey between destinations.

The itinerary looks great, but what if I want something a little different?

That's perfectly fine. Our itineraries are designed around what we believe offers the best overall experience, but they are never set in stone. Some travellers prefer a slower pace, some want more time in the Serengeti, while others may wish to include experiences such as a night game drive, a hot air balloon safari, cultural visits, or additional days in specific parks. We have extensive experience organising customised safaris, and we're always happy to help create a journey that matches your interests.

Do I need to be particularly fit for this safari?

Not at all. Most wildlife viewing takes place from the safari vehicle, and the itinerary is suitable for travellers of various ages. The days can be long, but they are generally relaxed and designed around enjoying the parks rather than physical activity.

Is this safari suitable for solo travellers, couples, and families?

Yes. Shared safaris attract a wide variety of travellers, including solo guests, couples, groups of friends, and families. The shared experience often becomes one of the most memorable parts of the trip.

What happens if I need to shorten my trip or change my travel plans?

We understand that unexpected situations can arise. Park permits, accommodation, and many safari services are prepaid and often non-refundable, but we always try to help wherever possible. As a customer-first company, we do our best to find practical solutions, although certain costs may remain unavoidable.

What should I pack for a Tanzanian safari?

Comfortable clothing, neutral colours, a light jacket for mornings, sunscreen, sunglasses, binoculars, and a camera are always recommended. Soft luggage is usually easier to manage, and we suggest packing light so you can focus on the experience rather than the suitcase.

Which type of traveller usually chooses this safari?

Travellers who want to experience Tanzania's incredible wildlife and landscapes while keeping their budget sensible. If your priority is the safari itself rather than luxury amenities, this itinerary offers outstanding value.
