Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi to Manali | Overnight Volvo (6,700 ft | 540 km | 14–15 hrs)

Begin your Himalayan journey by boarding a comfortable Volvo bus from Delhi (post 5 PM). Sit back and relax as you travel overnight, witnessing a gradual transition from bustling plains to serene mountain landscapes.

Day 02: Arrival in Manali | Acclimatization Day (6,700 ft)

Arrive in Manali and check into your pre-booked hotel or camp. Take the day to rest and acclimatize to the altitude.

Local sightseeing includes:

  • Hadimba Devi Temple – Set amidst lush cedar forests
  • Manu Temple – Located along the tranquil Beas River

In the evening, attend a briefing session about the upcoming journey. Enjoy dinner and a relaxed overnight stay.

Day 03: Manali to Jispa (10,498 ft | 110 km | 3–4 hrs)

After breakfast, begin your drive towards Ladakh. Enjoy scenic views as you pass through Solang Valley and traverse the iconic Atal Tunnel.
Reach Jispa and check into Swiss camps. Spend the evening unwinding under a stunning Himalayan night sky. Dinner included.

Day 04: Jispa to Sarchu (14,100 ft | 90 km | 3–4 hrs)

Start early and continue your ascent into the high Himalayas.

Today’s highlights:

  • Baralacha La Pass (16,043 ft)
  • Suraj Taal & Deepak Taal
  • Scenic drive along the Chandrabhaga River
  • Rugged terrains of Darcha & Zingzing Bar

Arrive at Sarchu, check into camps, and enjoy dinner before resting.

Day 05: Sarchu to Leh (11,562 ft | 250 km | 6–7 hrs)

One of the most thrilling stretches of the journey.

Arrive in Leh, check into your hotel, and relax overnight.

Day 06: Leh to Nubra Valley (via Khardung La) (10,000 ft | 160 km | 5–6 hrs)

Day 07: Nubra to Turtuk Excursion (Return to Nubra) (9,850 ft | 196 km | 8–9 hrs)

Explore Turtuk Village, located near the Line of Control.

Experience:

Return to Nubra for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 08: Nubra to Pangong Lake (14,000 ft | 160 km | 7–8 hrs)

Travel via one of Ladakh’s most adventurous routes (Shyok River/Wari La Pass, depending on conditions).

Arrive at the mesmerizing Pangong Tso Lake, known for its ever-changing hues of blue. Enjoy the serene surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay at lakeside camps.

Day 09: Pangong to Leh (via Chang La) (11,600 ft | 160 km | 5–6 hrs)

After breakfast, ride back to Leh via Chang La Pass.

Arrive in Leh, check in, and enjoy dinner.

Day 10: Leh to Kargil (8,780 ft | 240 km | 6–7 hrs)

Frequently asked questions

This tour covers nearly 2,000 KM over 12 days. Do I need to be an expert rider?

You don't need to be an off-road racing expert, but you must have good physical endurance and prior experience riding a heavy motorcycle for long distances. You will be in the saddle for 6 to 9 hours a day across diverse terrains, so physical stamina and mental focus are critical.

The tour starts in Manali and ends in Srinagar. How does the bike return work?

One of the best parts of this itinerary is that you don't have to ride all the way back! You will hand over your bike keys to our team on the evening of Day 11 in Srinagar. We handle the logistics and cost of transporting the bikes back to our base, while you take a convenient flight home from Srinagar airport on Day 12.

The itinerary spans from Delhi to Manali, Leh, and Srinagar. What weather should I pack for?

You will experience 3 different weather systems: humid heat in Delhi, cold alpine weather in Manali/Leh, freezing winds at passes like Khardung La and Sarchu, and pleasant autumn-like weather in Srinagar. You must pack in "layers" - base thermals, riding gear, and a high-quality rain suit for sudden mountain showers.

My friends don't ride bikes but want to do the trip with me. Can they join?

Absolutely! We offer an "SIC (Tempo Traveller/SUV)" booking option. Your non-riding friends or family members can travel comfortably in our support vehicle, follow the same itinerary, stay in the same camps, and enjoy the journey alongside the bikers.

How is accommodation managed in harsh transit camps like Sarchu and Jispa?

Sarchu (at 14,100 ft) is a high-altitude transit zone where permanent concrete structures aren't allowed. We provide premium Swiss Tents equipped with proper beds, heavy quilts, and attached washrooms to ensure you get a comfortable rest after a gruelling day on the Manali-Leh highway.

Is fuel included for the entire 2,000 KM route, and where do we refuel?

If you are riding our complimentary Royal Enfield, fuel is 100% included for the scheduled itinerary. For remote stretches where petrol pumps don't exist (like the 300+ KM stretch between Keylong and Leh), our backup vehicle carries large jerry cans to top up everyone's tanks on the go.

What happens if landslides block the Manali-Leh highway or Zojila Pass?

Landslides are a reality of Himalayan travel. We build buffer times into our day. If a major roadblock occurs, we wait for the BRO to clear it. In extreme cases where a road is washed out, any additional accommodation or food costs due to an unexpected extra stay must be borne by the participants.

Do I need separate permits for Kashmir and Ladakh?

We handle all the necessary Inner Line Permits (ILP) required for the Ladakh region (Nubra, Pangong). For the Kashmir leg (Kargil, Sonmarg, Srinagar), no special inner-line permits are required for Indian citizens, though you will pass through routine army checkpoints.

Can I leave the tour midway if I get too exhausted?

Yes, but you will be responsible for the logistical costs. If you drop out voluntarily or due to exhaustion in a place like Leh, you must pay the transportation cost to ship your rental bike to the tour's endpoint (Srinagar/Manali), and the rest of your package is non-refundable.

How do you handle major bike breakdowns on the remote More Plains or highway?

Our accompanying Royal Enfield mechanic rides with the group and carries essential spare parts (clutch cables, spark plugs, puncture kits). If a bike suffers a catastrophic engine failure that cannot be fixed on the spot, the bike will be loaded onto the backup vehicle, and we will try to arrange a replacement at the next major town.
